The stronger move is to build a home: one place that's clearly yours, where your people gather, that doesn't vanish when a platform changes its rules. A home you own beats a pile of links you're only renting.

Scattered presence has real costs. Your people never meet each other, so no community forms — they're just isolated followers on separate apps. You can't reliably reach them, because each platform decides who sees what. And any one of those platforms can change overnight, taking a chunk of your audience with it. Fragments are fragile.

A home fixes all three. When people gather in one place that's yours, they become a community instead of a scattered audience. You can reach them on your terms. And no algorithm or rule change can take the relationship away, because it doesn't live on borrowed land.

So stop mistaking a pile of links for a community. Pick one home — a place you control where your people can actually find each other — and use all those scattered platforms to point toward it. Gather your people somewhere that's yours, and you'll have built something that lasts instead of something on loan.
